Our proactive approach to sustainability, underpinned by innovative practices and cutting-edge technology, demonstrates our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint while delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Commitment to Net Zero
Translate. One is dedicated to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050. This commitment aligns with our corporate values of environmental stewardship and operational excellence, ensuring we contribute meaningfully to the global fight against climate change.
Current Emissions
We are in the process of gathering emissions data to establish our baseline carbon footprint. This will include:
- Scope 1: No emissions, as Translate. One operates with zero company-owned vehicles and minimal heating needs in our modern, well-insulated facilities.
- Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased electricity, to be calculated based on energy usage at our head office.
- Scope 3: Selected categories, including:
- Business travel (primarily digital appointments reducing the need for physical travel)
- Employee commuting (encouraged use of public transport)
- Waste management (minimal due to a paper-free office policy)
- Transport related to face-to-face appointments (majority completed using public transport)
- Downstream logistics through our digital delivery of services
Emissions Reduction Targets
Translate. One has set the following preliminary goals:
- 2025: Increase public transport use for face-to-face appointments from 72% to 82%.
- 2030: Reduce overall Scope 3 travel emissions by 30% through enhanced digital services.
- 2035: Transition to 100% renewable energy for all operations.
- 2040: Achieve Net Zero carbon emissions across all scopes.
Carbon Reduction Initiatives
Proactive Sustainability Measures:
- Zero Fleet Emissions: Translate. One does not operate any vehicles, eliminating fleet-related emissions entirely.
