Next one on our list is the Operations Manager from Enable2, Heather Hardy!

1. Heather, where are you located?

I live in the UK, in Shipley, West Yorkshire.

2. How long have you been with the company?

Just 2 months!

3. How long have you been working in the localization industry?

2 months.

4. What does your role entail?

All of the following:

-Management of the day-to-day interpreting services operation, leading the team to support the NHS, local authority and private clients.

-Providing operational leadership and support to the team.

-Client services team line management of assistants and administrators.

-Overseeing finance – internal finance lead, corporate and third-party.

-Day-to-day system activities and escalation of issues and embedding or processes, reporting of KPI’s and escalation of issues arising.

5.What do you enjoy most about your role?

The people and fast pace.

6. Can you tell us about your educational background and how it contributed to where you are today?

My NEBS in Management provided me with the foundations to develop my skills and become experienced at leading complex projects from planning to completion. My background is within Sales Operations by simplifying project and program operations and streamlining processes for enhanced business continuity and growth.

7. What’s a fun fact about you that not many people know?

I was the original voice of the UK airline Jet2.com (I still have the recording!)

8. What’s your favorite activity or hobby outside of work?

T20 Cricket (watching not playing!!)

9. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

To end poverty.

10. What’s your favorite book, movie, or TV show?

Married at First Sight UK.

11. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Bali.

12. What’s your proudest accomplishment (personal or professional)?

Having my son.

13. Do you have any pets? If so, tell us about them.

No pets, just a husband!!!

14. Do you have a favorite quote or mantra?

Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity & cash is KING.

15. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

If you can’t effect the outcome, don’t worry about it.
